ICS have been involved in the controlled repair, removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials (ACM’s) for in excess of 25 years.  We have extensive experience of working within the most challenging of environments, from the smallest duct and boiler room to vast major manufacturing units.

We were also contractor of choice for asbestos works within Birmingham HSE offices and Birmingham City Councils office and whilst remaining in full occupation, testament to our absolute professionalism and commitment to health and safety.

Our innovative management team have pioneered new working methods and designed new equipment to deal with the challenges of working within occupied premises and these have been approved by the HSE.

We understand that our people are our company’s reputation and our directly employed award winning site personnel have current CSCS certification and CRB checks in addition to all statutory training as an absolute minimum.

THERMAL INSULATION TO PLANT & PIPEWORK

The company’s founders have experience of supplying and installing all types of thermal insulation to a diverse arrangement of energy systems within all types of properties from schools and offices to large industrial plant rooms.  As we all become more environmentally conscious, ICS are at the forefront of optimising energy efficiency – removing inadequate and dangerous forms of (asbestos) insulation and installing efficient money-saving alternatives, all from one point of call.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Due to ICS’s longevity we have been able to build up strong business relationships with our trusted supply chain allowing us the opportunity to manage a refurbishment contract through to completion. Our biggest success to date being the total project management of £7.5m major refurbishment works at Coventry Motor Museum.  Importantly for our client our considered approach allowed the museum to remain operational during the works (please see our case study page for further details).  Despite our success on major projects we are happy to advise on any replacement and reinstatement required.

LIGHT DEMOLITION

Our particular brand of expertise lends itself to careful ‘soft strip’ and other internal dismantling and considered demolition.  Our Clients have found this to be particularly beneficial where buildings remain in partial occupation and within environments sensitive to dust and noise, for example schools and hospitals.

ASBESTOS SURVEYS

Owners AND occupiers of non-domestic properties are required by law to commission an appropriate  asbestos survey so that they can provide accurate information as to the location, amount and condition of asbestos containing materials (ACM’S) allowing informed decisions to be made with regards to remedial works or removal.  The survey must also be made available to workers who may disturb any ACM’s in their line of duty.

ICS can arrange provision of suitably qualified and competent surveyors to undertake a management survey and give you help with your management plan.  ICS can also arrange a refurbishment / demolition survey prior to major works, providing estimates for any associated works.
